TO THE WORLD YOU MAY BE ONE PERSON, BUT TO ONE PERSON YOU MAY BE THE WORLD! God had been preparing me for days, months and YEARS for what I would see, hear and experience in Chiapas, Mexico as an invited member of a distribution team for Operation Christmas Child.  My luggage was the only one NOT to arrive with us, and within the first hour of arriving at CASA HOGAR ALEGRE, I had a bad fall requiring casting and the doctor for our team was an ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON!  Nothing happens by coincidence!  And even now that I am permanently disabled, without a doubt, I know I was where GOD wanted me to be!  I would go back again in a heartbeat!  ABRAZOS GRANDES DE OSITO Y MUCHOS BESOS A MIS HERMANOS EN CRISTO DE CASA HOGAR ALEGRE ODRES NUEVOS A.C.!  Please be sure to click on the banner and links to find out what this special project of shoe boxes is all about, and how YOU can participate in it!  Maybe you would like to stitch for QUILTS FOR QUERIDAS, too?  I became a city - girl - turned - country when my darling hubby moved us east to heal in our lives and also, to attend Bible School.  I've been happily married for over 33 years, have 3 grown (and very dear) children, and precious new granddaughter born February 3, 2008...
HANDS TO WORK, HEARTS TO GOD!  A cross stitcher, I have an avid interest, too, in ribbon embroidery (after Mexico), and trying my creative hand at designing ~ alphabets,  Mexican and tea themes, florals (which I find exquisite though I am NO Mrs. Greenthumbs or Martha Stewart at gardening), and smocking baby things with the arrival of Ava Grace, my sweet wee grandbaby!  Yes, I am a GRAMMY in love!  I, also, like crafting, scrapbooking, reading and letter writing (I hope oneday to be published).  Among the things I enjoy to collect are postcards from around the world, antique school and children's books (especially for their illustrations), kaleidoscopes, paper dolls, tea things, and teddy bears.  I LOVE cooking to entertain.  My dear family, friends, and glimpse of missions work I got in Mexico are my greatest BLESSINGS in life, my Highest Calling being a Mom.

THE WONDER OF IT ALL
"Life is like a cup of tea which Time poureth endlessly,
Brewed by trial's constant heat, Needing love to make it sweet."
