| Welcome to The Tuesday Night Chargers Bowling League web page. The TNC Bowling League was established in 1957 by employees of Craft Associates Inc. The Craft Associates Bowling League started as a men's only league who bowled at The Eagles Bowling Alley on North Washington St in Wilkes-Barre. The first officers of The Craft Associates Bowling League were president Andy Matichka, Secretary Pete Carlin and Treasurer John "Jabber" Check. In 1962, the league moved to St John's Bowling Alley in Luzerne and allowed women to join therefore becoming a "mixed league". The Eagles and St John's were not the only home for The Craft Associates League. Over the years they also bowled at Lispi Lanes in Plains, Stanton Lanes in Wilkes-Barre and Chacko's West in Luzerne. In 1977, Craft Associates Inc. closed their doors and the league officially became The Tuesday Night Chargers. The TNC Bowling League now allowed non Craft Employees to join the league. Home for The Chargers was Chacko's West for many years until 1997 when the new Chacko's Family Bowling Center was built. This reamins the home of the Chargers today. The Tuesday Night Chargers Bowling League bowls every Tuesday night at 6:30 PM at Chacko's Family Bowling Center. |
