Photographer JSLtanM graduated from New York Institute of Photography,
and have been working all across his fair land of Canada ever since.
He has worked in various fields of the trade, starting from sales to management of a professional AV store based in Ottawa-Hull,
as well as freelancing as a photo-correspondent while he was languishing the fact that one of his idols
Yousuf Karsh was based in the capital city.
It was quite an honourable beginning, albeit a small step in his long career,
This alone is the one of many impetus for the photographer JSLtanM
to keep aiming for the stars, never tiring of creating new images with his camera.

when the great Karsh actually sat down with him in Karsh's office at the Chateau
to view JSL's "humble portfolio".
The budding photographer's face gleams each time he recollects that moment
exclaiming,
" Imagine my nervousness, when after visiting lots of unknown photographers in the area to be told they are too busy to see me,
and then I end up at Mr. Karsh's office and he , upon noticing my nervousness, calms me down with a consoling voice saying,
"Take a seat, young man, and let us see what you have brought me ! ".
He spent 30 minutes with Karsh and the great master signed an autograph using a card from his own office, with a personal message to JSL.
