| Heat. Air saturated with humidity.Smell of foliage surrounding you. Strange sounds. Contrasting greenness with red earth. These are some of the many feelings perceived by the people that come to these places, especially visitors coming from big cities, not used to the contact with nature. The subtropical weather imposes its conditions not paying attention to the mood of the visitor. Nothing is partial here; the weather and all its manifestations prove it. Rain and intense heat together with innumerable steams, rivers and different sources of water, create the conditions to produce an exuberant vegetation. Giants , medium and small trees, together with shrubs, cane fields, ferns and epiphyte plants, form a compact front, forested, that catches your attention with magnetic strength. The visitor with a little bit of imagination and happy spirit brings back to his memory the character of Tarzan, jumping amongst the trees and holdings himself from the lianas. Perhaps everything is part of my feverish imagination. Why not? Try it youself. Here have some personal information to introduce myself. I am Marcelo Choulet. I live in Almirante Brown city,Andresito area, Province of Misiones , very near Iguazú Falls. Through this wide media, I want to share some things and experiences that life offers. I like photography, orchids, wildlife and everything that is natural. Iguazu National Park (including Iguazu Falls) and Uruguai Provincial Park sum up 150.000 hectares of subtropical rainforest in the north of Argentina, it is a natural reserve, protected. It has wild flora and fauna worth visiting, where the visitor can travel paths and feel alive again, listening the song of birds and feeling the fragrance of the jungle, in full swing, breathing some of the purest air in the planet. More than 200 species of trees, 85 species of orchids, 448 birds, 71 mammals, 36 reptiles and amongst the most stunning insects there are about 250 species of butterflies. If you can take your time and visit it, you won`t regret it. Come and enjoy the adventure of being alive in this changing world. I invite you to write me if you have something to comment or share about these places or others that awaken similar sensations to the ones described here. Have a nice day. |
