Our parent support group for dyslexia meets four times during the school year.  This is a grass roots support group for families with dyslexic children.  We meet to share information about how to help our children.  Encouragement and support make a difference for families trying to help their dyslexic child.

Each meeting has a speaker that addresses an aspect of dealing with dyslexia.  The group started in 2000 with three Madison, AL mothers and has grown to about 180 families in Limestone, Madison, Morgan and Marshall and Jackson counties.

In April 2003 our group was instrumental in starting the Alabama Branch of the International Dyslexia Association, and also in helping start Greengate School, a non-profit school for kids with dyslexia in Huntsville.

Dyslexia is an important challenge for families and our educational system.  We're here to help!
