Now the work begins!

The objective of the sand ramps is to give the wheels something solid and stable to grip and drive onto so as to pull itself out of the "stuck" situation. In this particular usage, the front drive axle tire (tyre) treads would grab the edge of the ramp and pull themselves onto it (as well as pull the ramp under the tires/jeep) thereby lifting the jeep out of the sand trap.

However, one must be very cautious not to go too fast causing the tires to grab and flip the ramps back slamming them into the front of the jeep or flipping them into the air turning them into potentially dangerous projectiles. Yet another hazard is the tires throwing them backwards and under the vehicle causing innumerous types of damages. RMDs - Ramps of Mass Destruction!

With the problem now solved, it was time to get back on patrol and finish the circuit back to town. But first...
