Welcome to the Lehigh Valley Computer Group Novice SIG
The Coordinator
Bill Sheff (Nsheff@aol.com)
The Novice SIG of the LVCG meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month except December.  We meet at 7:30 PM at the Mack Trucks World Headquarters Auditorium, 2100 Mack Blvd., Allentown, PA (directions are shown at the directions link).

Our purpose is to present items of interest to the novice and intermediate users of computers, but it is open to all.  Primarily, our meetings cover the use and functionality of the existing Microsoft Operating Systems such as Win98 and WinXP.  Additionally, we will cover other topics that appear interesting to the SIG participants.  Overall, we try to present all of the subjects in simple terms that can be grasped by those not fully familiar with computers.

At either the start or end of the meeting, a RAM session is held.  At this time, questions can be raised by those present about problems that they are experiencing.  Answers or responses are made by anyone else who has had the same difficulty or feels they have a possible remedy.  Not all questions get to be answered, but we always try to provide different avenues to follow to find a solution.

In addition to the above, the Novice SIG maintains a lending library of learning discs from Video Professor, Learn Key and others covering a multitude of programs.  These discs are available on a free month-to-month rental basis.

Everyone is welcome to attend without obligation, however, membership in LVCG is strongly encouraged
