Here is the history and potential future of LY4C: This camp was started in the summer of 2006 in Georgia by a group of counselors that had many years of experience at a similar camp in Southern Illinois. We had 2 great years of camp in Georgia. Then, with the addition of children, the camp director needed a year off to focus on the family. Our commitment to Youth Ministry is still going strong but mostly we are committed to God's plan for our lives. We don't know what the future holds for the Georgia camp, but for 2008 at a minimum, we are going to take any youth (graduating 8th-graduating 12th in Spring, '08) that are interested in Georgia to our camp in Illinois. You are welcome to join us....but sign up early so we can make travel arrangements ~ we may need to refuse applications after June 20!!! Please visit www.lutheranyouthministries.org to get an application and find out all of the details. Remember, you don't have to be Lutheran to attend and friends are always welcome! We hope to see you at Camp 2008 for a spirit-filled week of Bible studies & activities the week of July 20-25. Check back to this site later in the year to see our updates!
