| I am a Green. I have never been registered as a Democrat. I have never been registered as a Republican. I am a Green. The Democrats consistently vote with the Republicans to reduce environmental protections. To take away civil rights. To go to war. None of this was done by "Ashcroft" or by "Bush." Ms. "progressive" Pelosi was against invading Iraq -- that is, right up to the moment she became minority leader. Now she "fully supports the president." Democrats brought us WTO. Democrats brought us NAFTA. Democrats brought us GATT. Democrats support the $1 billion per day war machine. Democrats are not your friends. Democrats brought you the War on Drugs. Democrats let Florida fraudulently purge voters from its voter registration roles. Democrats brought you video voting with no paper trail to protect you. You cannot trust Democrats. You cannot trust Republicans. Run Green candidates. Vote for Green candidates. Change the direction this country is going. You are either part of the problem or part of the solution. Democrats are clearly part of the problem. A "progressive" Democrat is nevetheless a Democrat -- and therefore part of the problem. Wellstone could have joined the Green Party. Feingold, Jackson, McKinney, etc. can join the Green Party. If they believe in 10 key values, they should join the Green Party. Otherwise they are part of the problem. Period. Nancy Pelosi's change of position shows where the "heart and soul" of the Democratic Party lies. The Democrats lost and lost and lost in 2002. Every knowledgeable pundit admits it is because they did not address the people's issues. Republicans did not get votes from "democrats." Democrats simply did not vote. Their party is worthless and they know it. Do the Democrats try to return to their roots and regain the confidence of their constituency? No, they want to get their votes from the 39% of voters who actually voted -- that is to say, from Republicans and other conservatives. The Democrats do not want Progressives to vote. Don't you understand??? The Democratic party leadership now says, "I support the President, I support the President, I support the President ..." Isn't that a nice mantra? I hope you will enjoy John Poindexter reading your e-mail. This was made possible by Democrats. We are Greens. We hurt the progressive cause when we vote for Democrats. That is it, that is all. Recruit Green candidates. Start the campaign now. Run Green candidates. Change the dialogue in this country. The Democratic Party is irrelevant. Ignore the Democratic Party... Elect Green candidates! |
