| Many raw milk advocates, both farmers and consumers have realized that making an informed choice to switch to fresh unprocessed milk for our families carries with it a need to be more knowledgeable about the conditions necessary to maintain the added nutritional benefits, and reduce the risks.
If we make a choice to consume raw milk, then we need to have personal knowledge that the philosophy and operations on that farm are in keeping with those added responsibilities. We must also learn to and handle the milk so as to maintain it’s nutritional value and minimize the health risks to our families. The Lucky Hook Dairy Goats are healthy animals that have access to pesticide and herbicide free pastures of clover and mixed grasses during the spring, summer and fall months. They are also offered an alfalfa and grass mixed hay from pesticide and herbicide free fields on a free choice basis, throughout the year. Our animals are free of antibiotics, steroids, hormones and anything else that is un-natural. Each animal has a unique personality and name. They are treated with kindness and respect. With few exceptions they live out their entire lives here on this farm. We have been raising healthy dairy animals for the past 26 years. We recently decided to make the jump to being WSDA licensed to produce and sell one of Nature's Finest Foods, Grade A RAW Goat Milk. We make every effort to provide clean wholesome raw milk for your table. Our milk is tested each month by the Washington State Department of Agriculture for levels of coliforms and the following pathogens: Listeria, Salmonella, E coli 0157, Campylobacter and Antibiotic Residues. Our animals are tested annually for TB and Brucellosis as well. |

| Some people think of goat milk as having a strong, "goaty" flavor. When kept at temperatures well below the 40 degree mark the milk is delicious. If you buy your goat milk, the stuff in the cans or pasteurized in cartons, it is not the taste of real farm-fresh natural goat milk. If you buy your goat milk fresh you will be surprised at how little it differs from the taste of fresh cow's milk. Goat milk, when handled properly has a wonderful, mild and sweet taste that most people enjoy. Goats are naturally a very hardy animal that rarely gets sick. Medical intervention is very low and preventative antibiotics, steroids, and hormones are all completely unnecessary. Goats are very easy on the environment. Their lighter hooves do not tear up the pasture and their picky sensibilities keep them out of the mud. You will never see a goat standing in wet or muddy areas unless there is no place else to stand. Goats are naturally neat. They won't even eat hay that has fallen to the ground or drink water from a pail that contains anything but fresh clear water. It has been said that sometimes those who don’t tolerate cow milk are able to drink goat’s milk with no adverse effects. Lucky Hook Grade A RAW Dairy MOSES LAKE, WA GoatsRus@accima.com |
