The mantapam construction was started somewhere around last year and completed this year during August. The mantapam has been opened on Avani-Hastam September - 8th at Kanchi. The ceremoney of MANIMANDAPAM at THUPPUL, was well carriedout and the ceremoney was well attended by all renowned vedic scholars, including vallayapettai swamy. navalpakkam vardhachar swamy, kanchi sudharsana thathachar swamy etc. As per wishes of H.H POUNDRIKAPURAM SWAMY
Swamy Desikan shasranamavali was recited by Shri P V SATAGOPATHATHACHARIAR
Swamy and by navalpakkam VASUDEVACHARIAR Swamy, who as you know as authored
the Shasranama Bashyam, which was released by SRIMAD POUNDRIKAPURAM ANDAVAN
at Srirangam. H.H Srimad Poundrikapuram swamy has conferred on him the
title "DESIKA SEVA VIPASCHITH RATHNAM and with a shawl.
Here I would also like to mention your chithi, (my mother) Smt Santha,
Thuppul Trust Managing trustee, has also been blessed by the swamy with
title of "DESIKA KAINKARYA CHOODAMANI". The title was read by Sri U Ve DR
swamy who has also come for this occasssion and Sri U Ve Valayapettai swamy
handed over the virudhu to chithi with a small chocking voice due to his emotion on this great event.
All the scholars were honoured with shawls from the THUPPUL TRUST. All the
patrons, donors vedic scholars were honoured with shawls during the
occassion and wanted all of you (contributors) to be honoured with them
(with your kaimkaryams).
All are happy and immensely satisfied with the arrangement and the
MANIMANDAPAM in final shape. The Physical support extrended by the Nephew of
P V SADAGOPAN named Sri U ve suresh cannot be expressed by words. Kindly
convey our thanks to all the people who have been helpful and known to you
and associated with this kaninkaryam with humble pranamam.
