The Risk and Stochastics Society is a student society at the London School of Economics and Political Science. We serve to bring together those interested in the application of random processes in the financial and insurance sectors.

The society aims to:

• Establish lasting links between industry, academia, alumni and current students
• Invite esteemed external speakers (practitioners and academic) to the LSE, who may give further insight into all aspects of quantitative finance and insurance
• Organize study groups for various related courses run at the LSE
• Provide students with a common platform in order to promote social interaction
