George W Bush is GONE. We have a new president. Correction: we have a real president again, for the first time in eight long years, instead of a wannabe dictator.
Is President Obama going to be perfect? Of course not. Is he going to do everything without any mistakes? Don't be silly. But even the mistakes he makes are likely to be more intelligent than the things Dubya did, and at least Obama wants to restore the Constitutional authority that can prevent the country's democratic balance of powers from being subverted again, the way Dubya was doing.
Now we need to get behind him and give him a chance to fix the eight years of divisiveness, paranoia economic instability and near-dictatorship created by the ignorance and narrow-mindedness of the Bush-Cheney administration. If we support Obama, we can expect a better, stronger United States of America in all the ways that really count, and as a bonus, we also can look forward to a level of international respect and co-operation we haven't enjoyed for a long time.
