"Have you seen Liv Ullmann in that more recent version of Queen Christina, Mr. Broman?"

Upon the author's reply, Greta Garbo remarked that she would try to arrange a screening.

Liv Ullmann would return to Norway for the filming of Autumn Sonata (Hostsonat/ Herbstsonat, 1978), which brought Swedish film director Ingmar Bergman to the Norsk Film studios in Oslo. In Images, Bergman writes "As it turned out, I felt perfectly content to work in the primitive studios on the outskirts of Oslo. Built in 1913 or 1914, the buildings have been left just as they were...Everything we needed wa there, even though the place was dilapitiated and had not been kept up."

Liv Ullmann was the first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award given at the Copenhagen International Film Festival. Toward the end of September 2003, she was made honorary president of the European Directors Association.

On my desk is a book which inside reads: Of the first edition of CHANGING three hundred copies have been printed on special paper and specially bound. Each copy is signed by the author and numbered.
