Welcome to the homepage of the Lock Ridge Juggling Arts Club! The Lock Ridge Juggling Arts Club hasn't actually ever been founded, but if it had been it would have been in 2008. However, its continued nonexistence has not stopped an intrepid group of prop manipulators from going to meets from time to time, and it certainly hasn't discouraged said party of jugglers from inviting new people to join them. Our summer schedule has been a little bit unstructured (which is, of course, a euphemism for chaotic and haphazard), but we generally meet at the Lock Ridge Park in Alburtis, PA on Sunday afternoons, usually from around 2:00 PM until we get sick of each other. We'll put a note up on the website if there isn't going to be a practice, but until we get settled it's probably best to check ahead of time just in case. Starting on 31. August, we'll be doing informal poi lessons from around 3:00-4:00. We'll have a couple sets of poi for those that need them but bringing your own would be a great idea. Making your own is easy! If you'd like to be added to the Official Lock Ridge Juggling Arts Mailing List for updates and news (or just need to contact us), send something cool to jugglingpeacock@gmail.com. A neat story or a funny bar joke or something. We could use a laugh. Please? How to Get There Lock Ridge Park and Furnace Museum is on Franklin St. in Alburtis, PA. From Macungie, take Rt. 100 North and turn left on Spring Creek Rd. Keep going until you're in Alburtis proper, and Franklin St. is on your left. From Fogelsville, take Rt. 100 South and turn right on Spring Creek. Follow that into Alburtis; Franklin St. will be on your left. Our practices are usually in the larger courtyard, but we move if somebody else needs it for a good cause. If you've never been there, feel free to e-mail us, or check out the Official Lehigh County Website for Lock Ridge Park. |
