Urgent News - An NPC with an exclamation point (!) overhead has urgent news for you. Usually, the news is important information about completing your quests and advancing in the game. You should approach and talk to any townsfolk with an "!" overhead.

The following are Battle.net Chat Avatars that can be seen in the Battle.net Chat room while using Diablo II.

	Blizzard Representative		An authorized representative of Blizzard Entertainment.
	Battle.net System Administrator		An authorized representative of Battle.net.
	Moderator		Can remove or ban people from the Channel and designate the next Operator of that Channel when they leave.
	Speaker		Can be heard by everyone in a Moderated Channel
	Chat Client		Logged on through a chat client and is unable to start or play games
	Dead Hardcore Character		A dead Hardcore Character that can no longer play in a game.
