| WB FAQ? Well, the reason this is a Would-Be Frequently Asked Questions section is because nobody actually asked any of the questions that are displayed. These are just stuff I wondered about, some obvious things, and some unexplained phenonmenons... I'm also gonna include some obvious stuff or things said in the small comment under each YK Anime comic. The ultamite question that puzzles us all: \\'|-|3R3'5 c|4 b33r 1|\| d15 |<3\\'1 570RY? Comic #1 Friday, November 8, 2002 In the 3rd frame, whats wrong with the character on the left's hand? I bet none of you wondered it, but at first I thought that object was a hook hand...in fact its a hand with the map from the first frame sticking out. I'm stupid aren't I? ...and all the hands in this page are fists or have bent fingers. Is the middle frame (from top to bottom) two frames? Actually, its just one frame, its where the corner of a hallway is, as in a L shaped part of a hall. Whats with the face at the bottom? Thats just to create a smashing effect, as the two characters collide. Its just half the face of each of the present characters. Comic #2 Monday, November 11, 2002 What is that thing on the back of the guys head in frame 1, that resembers a horizontal sock? I don't know. Why is there a 'Squeeeak...' in frame 2? The male character has smashed into something invisible...I wonder what. What is that line going vertically down in frame 3? Its a wall of air formed through M/SETI Whats that little figure at the bottom of the wall of air? Its the guys hand as he slides down the wall of air. You do know that SETI stands for Search for Extra Terrestrial Life, which is a on-going project throughout the U.S. and the world? Yeah, but thats why there's a 'M/' in front of it, so you wouldn't get confused...also I wasn't thinking of the regular SETI acronymn at the time of the creation of the term. Comic #3 Friday, November 15, 2002 How do you say M/SETI? At first I wasn't sure either, but I guess one would say, "missetty" or something. What does M/SETI stand for? Mental/Supernatural Energy Through Imagination. With this reasoning, nothing is impossible if you have the mental strength for it. Your limit is the strength of your imagination that your mind can produce. Through this, you can bend or break laws that define the universe. It is a powerful force that has been only policed by the fact that no one has ever had enough M/SETI capabilities to harm anyone or thing to do any real damage. Also everyone is nice and peaceful, since the effects of a substance called Draconliusium in the planet Llihnrothia that does many things including giving a loving and peacful atmosphere that destroys violence and evil.. Whats that funky figure in frame 3? Its a ball of dust. I imagine that its a DNA structure with a black hole in the middle scattering and absorbing the light around it. hehe. Comic #4 Friday, November 22, 2002 Why is the text in the speech bubbles all bolded except for the first one? I dunno. What is that sign in the middle (top to bottom)? Its a sign for what room is which ways, such as room C5-07 is on the right side. In real life, they have em in basically any tall building. Whats with the guys face at the bottom frame? He's blushing with a strangely large smile. Comic #5 Monday, November 25, 2002 Is the girl punching the door open? Although the doorknob may be beside her hand, she's basically pushing it open with a fist. (of course obvously she isn't, or is she?) What is that big room in the 3rd frame? Its a holodeck, from the squares, I'd say it was designed on the one on Enterprise-D. The LA thing in the middle is just the logo for The Llihnrothian International Academy. Comic #6 Friday, November 29, 2002 Whats that line (top to bottom) on the left of the new guy? I think thats the frame of the door, the room is plain on purpose so that there would be a stable basis to reflect photons off of, to create quality holograms. (or was the artist too lazy to draw some funky background?) In the second frame, is the girl grabbing the new guy's buttocks? lol, I wasn't gonna add this, but hey, isn't she? lol. Comic #7 Friday, December 6, 2002 Why are they using doorknobs if they're so high tech? Wouldn't they have sliding doors or something? I'm not sure about this, but maybe they're just trying to save some money, or something. What did the new unknown character mean by, 'appear'? You'll see in the next comic strip, or just look down. Comic #8 Monday, December 9, 2002 Whats that fuzzy thing in the last panel? Its the holographic teacher 'appearing'... Comic #9 Friday, December 13 Whats that the teacher is holding? I think its some sort of holographic panel or display of some sort. Why do they make holograms so outgoing? I've always wondered that...maybe at some point, people got bored of serious machines and made them more interesting. Why are there so many characters now? I know, whats with that! Why is the dude at the last panel so pessimistic? Yeah, we should beat him up! He should be happy to train in such an elite academy! lol. Comic #10 Friday, December 20, 2002 Why are they meditating? Other than the fact that they are 'preparing their minds', its so you'd get restless and either stop reading or anticipate for when the action begins. How can the teacher 'not know'? Isn't she a hologram with all the instructions programmed into the matrix? I guess somebody was messing with memory cache. Whats with the guy in the last panel? Is it really that bad? Yeah, it is. You'll see in the next page. Comic #11 Friday, December 27, 2002 Whats with that guy...how can he even attempt to master M/SETI if he can't even bend his legs? He must not be very flexible, since basically every bone and joint in his legs are cracking, lol. I guess he won't be able to dodge bullets very well. Is it really that painful? No, he's a wimp. lol. Oro? Kenshin. Comic #12 Friday, January 3, 2003 Whats that ball thing in the teachers hand? It must be a ball of M/SETI that paralyzes certain parts of its victims body, such as the legs. HA~!! Yeah, aka, WHACK~!!! lol. Comic #13 Monday, January 6, 2003 Whats with the bubbles and white robe in the middle panel? He's 'thinking of a happy place'. Cool eh? Cough, wheeze? You know when you breathe in too deeply, and you kinda choke, cough, wheeze, etc. Comic #14 Friday, January 10, 2003 M/SETI is a power that can only be harness and used by organics, and mainly Llihnrothians...how can a hologram use M/SETI then? The holodeck sort of 'cheats' to make it appear its using M/SETI. Since holograms are not actually real, they don't have the physical restrictions organics do, therefore they can probably fake using M/SETI by altering the area around the hologram. jasonium? An alloy that does not appear on the periodic table of elements (obviously). But it basically is supposed to be very resistant to bending and other types of physical change, although it is considered weak compared to other known alloys. It's named after a certain person that the author knows. Why do they have to cup their hands and roll up their sleeves? Well, they are spoons, so you wouldn't want to get them dirty, and since when you bring the origins of a force together, they are usually stronger combined, that way its almost impossible for the spoon to drop unless the person using it really sucks. There is no spoon? Yeah, there is none, it got covered by the speech bubble. lol. (Watch The Matrix if you haven't) Comic #15 Friday January 17th, 2003 Why is he physically attempting to bend it, instead using his M/SETI? He thinks bending a jasonium spoon is easy(and is lazy and doesn't want to waste his energy) and that he can cheat by just using his hands to bend it...but he obviously breaks it. How hard is jasonium really? Its suppose to be moderately hard, of course for them...to us it would be around the strength of a diamond, but to them it would be as easy as bending(or breaking) a folding chair. I dunno, what else can I compare it to! HAAAA~~! ? yeah, HAAAA~~! Comic #16 Friday January 24, 2003 Whats that in the background behind the teacher? I dunno, a door probably. Why would they even bother to learn how to Compress Atoms together? Its also know as shrinking stuff, and we all know shrinking stuff is really useful, unless you can't get them big again. Is Atomic Compression even possible? Theoritically it is, thats what they used in Honey I Shrunk The Kids (and the whole franchise). Basically, and for every shirnk theory, the particals and idividual atoms or molecules of the object are packed more tightly together, thus making it smaller. Another way is to take the excess particales, although I'd say that would be a waste though. Comic #17 Friday January 31, 2003 M/SETI art? Well, since M/SETI has many purposes and strengths, it could be used basically for everything, including art. So...art to them is making books, an object you can't make out, a blob and a blade? Well, the teacher didn't really specify what they had to make...so I guess they just did whatever came to their minds first. M/SETI is basically a free power, and it can do almost whatever you want, if you know how to use it properly. The guy made a blob...he sucks, can't he do any better? Well, it seems that we have a drop out here. Although M/SETI can be used by any Llihnrothian, it takes skill and practice to actually harness it to the point that it can do something. Thats why you don't see the people flying around and shooting laser beams out of their eyes(Superman, Di Gi Charats, lol). Whats with the hands? I dunno, they must be wearing gloves, not. Comic #18 Friday February 7, 2003 M?SETI generated weapon? Hmm, I've thought of this myself before, but then it would be kind of hard...if not hard, time consuming and a waste of energy to make a weapon soley from using M/SETI power. Most Llihnrothians would probably see it as a waste of energy...but obviously its a good skill to have if you don't have a weapon and there's no place or no money to buy one. Technically, you basically get any material, most likely it should be ductile and mallable, so that it doesn't snap. You just basically use your M/SETI force as a sort of imaginary molding, hammering, smithing, cutting, crafting...equipment. Why is this this guy so bad at M/SETI? basically everyong is kicking his butt when it comes to doing anything. I know, this is sad, I should probably go and tutor this guy. I bet I could probably train him to move mountains in a week. So, the point of the current exercise is to get the material to look like a 'smooth stick'? From what I can tell, both of the students in this page are doing it wrong, one is doing too and one isn't doing much. Which one though? lol. Doesn't it look better in pencil? Yeah, I think it looks smoother and more...good...in pencil. But its not as professional or has that...feeling...from using pen. Its easier in pencil anyways. Comic #19 February 21, 2003 How are they in that position, are they leaning on a wall or just acting cool, or both? both? I can't really see a wall they could be leaning on, although it seems like it. So basically its sword versus stick? Yep, this'll be a close battle, lol What's with the lines and the faces at the bottom panels? The girl and guy are charging at each other, with a dramatic effect. Comic #20 February 28th, 2003 I'm assuming that they went past each other and after a few seconds, one of them will fall hurt. Yeah, but which one will do more damage??? The stick or the jagged sword... How come they have no eyes? Ooh, shady look, so cool. And also they have eyes, in the top left and bottom right of the comic, hehe. Whats with the shoes, and why are their hands always fists? Its hard to draw these things... Is the girls lower shoe unde the guys knee cavity thing? I guess its just the angle, thats all. Comic #21 March 7th, 2003 Wasn't the sword jagged? How come it's straight now? I dunno, my guess its laziness...forgetfulness... ...or the speed at which she is dashing cause the sword to hit air molecules at such a intense 'pounding' that the sword was dullened and smoothed out. From the angle, it appears as if she is flying...is she? Well, I guess so...if by flying you (I) mean jumping really fast/far/high to appear that it is flying...yeah. Why is one of the guy's eyes closed? Isn't he supposed to be good enough that he isn't scared? For shame... (and he's not 'good enough' either) "Wait"? Yeah, wait...for the next comic. Comic #22 March 14th, 2003 Wasn't the sword straight? How come it's jagged now? lol. The teacher gave instructions? I guess so... Kaze no Kizu? Inuyasha (Inu Yasha)...a sword thing (attack/technique/move/power/special/hyaa~!) Are those little people chibis? Yep, minis. How come the chibi's are in the same background as the normals? Dunno, probably an effect that doesn't require borders... Now what are they doing? See below... Comic #23 March 28th, 2003 Where did the girl get the box? I dunno, must have been lying around...the weapons range building is only a few stramz away...and they use boxes to ship weapons & ammo..don't they? (it's upside down! *gasp~*) (...better not be a tactical nuclear warhead, those things are unstable when shaken around) Lol, the guy's running on spot, look at his legs! Yeah! Haha, loser! (...isn't 'loser' spelt loser, not losser? cause losser is pronounce "loss*er" instead of "lose*er") What are those characters? I dunno, I can't read 'em... Comic #24 April 12th, 2003 So...the guy's talking to himself? I guess so...or his conscience, or God, or the teacher...somehow. So...the guy has no confidence? I guess so...or he could be just telling the truth..in which he sucks. lol. Why does "Whack!!?" have a "?" at the end? It is inconclusive on the outcome of the Whack!!...? Just wanna make a quick comment on Rennette's title page...SKILLZ! hehe. Comic #25 April 18th, 2003 So, the guy blocked it eh? Yeah, pretty much... So if the teacher was there all along, why didn't she regulate the battle and provide advice, explanations, etc.? I dunno, all part of the learning experience I guess... Comic #26 April 25th, 2003 How come hair is always seethrough so that you can see the person's eyes and eyebrows? One of the many laws of anime. What's that thing in the triangular panel? They' are (in the order of top to bottom): Nose, Lips, Chin...whoa! His skills have really drastically improved since the guy walked in the room? All he did is block the box though... Well yeah, but then again the box was "1000 lbs."...then again that's just the label...it could have been empty. Hey, it does sound like any common special power-base mangas and animes! Yep, it may only be partially original, but its still good. =P Comic #27 May 9th, 2003 That's the entire class? Well, I guess...pretty much...then again it was sort of an introductory course...was it? 7-month day? Yeah, time goes fast...well, that's the end of that class. Not much to say. Just wanna make a quick comment on those fillers...SKILLZ! hehehe. Comic #28 May 16th, 2003 New uniforms? Isn't it the first class or something? Umm, yeah...I hope they don't do this often. The uniforms cost that much? I'm not sure about that one that the guy is wearing at the moment...but some of them cost quite a bit due to certain add ons...like a coolant system for hot days! =P Just wanna make a quick comment on that weekend filler thing...SO FUNNY! I wish I could draw that good! hehehehe. Comic #29 May 23rd, 2003 Hmm, that complex looks funny... Yeah, it sure does...who was the idiot that designed it! (me) They don't have faces in the first panel! Yeah, too bad. They never said their names! I know! Who's who! Comic #30 May 26th, 2003 Nice titlepage. Yeah, not much to say here..other than, SKILLZ! (what's with those looks on their faces) Comic #31 May 30th, 2003 So, the guy is Kaori and the girl is Kiyasu? LOL, just joking, hehehehehehehe........heh..... How come the girls hair and skirt/kilt is blowing in one direction and the tumbleweed is blowing the opposite direction? Two sided wind? Tunnel effect? (nah, tunnel effect has to have one side more powerful than the other...I think) And so they leave... But aren't they in the same class? (statement is first, question is second...reversed order) Just wanna make a quick comment on all those filler pics...THEY'RE SO GOOD!!! WAH, I WISH I COULD DRAW THAT WELL!!! uhh, hehehehehe... Comic #32 June 27nd,2003 Not much to say about this...other than: He can think around his body, just not his head...is he walking or standing? (no feet)...and what is he staring at? (other than into blank space, if that's the case) Just wanna make a quick comment on all those filler pics...stop showing off how good you are at drawing! Some people (like me) can't draw! =P Comic #33 Monday July 7th, 2003 How come the wind is always blowing her? Is she not aerodynamic or something? Yeah, I wonder...it shouldn't be too windy if they're in Kardenstrief...although the LIA is a large open lot, around it is still a city... What is that she's sitting on? Oh, she's sitting on something? I guess its those short concrete wall thingys that you see wuite a bit around. What is everybody else thinking? That's what we wanna know! Just wanna make a quick comment on MY filler! Hahaha! It's soooooo crappy! =) =) =) Comic #34 Friday July 25th, 2003 How come there's no background? I might be hired to draw the backgrounds in the future! =) Who's she? I dunno What's that headband thing on her head? I dunno, Naruto? I see...? Yeah, she's not blind, obviously. Comic #35 Monday July 28th, 2003 What's that thing in the first panel? Quasar Beam Shuriken? Is that an eye floating in the second panel? Eeriely, yes. Haa... Wow, takes some effort to throw that thing... According to DoL, wasn't the quad-beamed quasar saber a special weapon only one person could use? Yes, only Kiyasu was entrusted with the QBQS...but then again it's a shuriken, not a saber. Comic #36 Thursday July 31st, 2003 The Qaud Beam Quasar Shuriken has been thrown... Poor alter-Kiyasu... Comic #37 August 4th, 2003 So the QBQS was thrown as alter-Kiyasu... ...and it missed him...or did a-K dodge it? Yeah, isn't alter-Kiyasu too weak to dodge it? Yeah, must have been luck, =P Comic #38 Friday August 8th, 2003 Who's she? I dunno What's she holding? I dunno That's alter-Kiyasu saying "hey, shut up" right? I dunno (Currently the base storyline of YK Anime is dead... hopefuilly, the rest are coming soon...) (However, there are a bunch of really cool drawings up) Why are there so little comics? Making a webcomic is hard work, people who have know so. Its not starting it thats hard, although just getting around and starting one is already impossible for some people (like me). Also, people might make fun of your ideas, bad artwork, or say that you plagarize other people's stuff when it either is the other way around or just a coincidence...or you did steal other people's ideas... Also, it takes commitment, without much support, or even with support, a webcomic may still not do very well. Things like writer blocks or a loss of thought trails or just plain bad webcomic skills from a lack of experience, may prevent a webcomic from continuing after it has gotten a pretty good start. If you think hosting a webcomic is easy, do one yourself. In fact, if you have the time, resources, and support, and of course a great storyline/humour/etc. to keep your readers amused, it may actually be easy for some of you. |
