Over the last decade or so, there has been a massive surge in radical and progressive social movements, groups, political parties and concerned individuals around the world. We acknowledge the diversity and creativity of this explosion of political expression, however, we also see non-hierarchical and decentralised grassroots coordination within the movement as the best way to maximise its effectiveness as it pushes for change.
We, as members of the Liverpool community and broadly like-minded people have therefore set up the first Liverpool Social Forum. This is an open, autonomous space for free discussion, information sharing and organising events and actions. We do not ascribe to any specific ideology or dogmatism, except that of pushing the contemporary political paradigm to new heights, challenging convention and seeking justice in all its forms.
The LSF is in its infancy and we are open to any comments, queries and suggestions. The world it in a constant flux, and as such, the LSF is deliberately flexible to incorporate different ideas and viewpoints.
