To whom it may concern (and I use the term lightly),
To the... say... one person who somehow came across my page every six months, I give my sincerest thanks. Unfortunately, many circumstances forced me to stop updating the website. My final year of high school (2003) was especially busy, thanks to High School Theater and Senior activities. As soon as I got out of high school, I jumped into my first job. Between that and college, my time had not returned.
When Summer 2004 rolled around, I saw an opportunity to bring this baby back. I even posted a mildly amusing teaser on the front page. Unfortunately for the site (but very fortunate for me), I made some friends. REAL friends. Friends that I don't have to interact with over a computer screen. Because of this, the site's running joke about me not having much of a life became something that just wasn't true anymore.
To top all that off, the unthinkable happened. My computer has fallen prey to the evils of spyware and viruses, so in the process many of my files were lost. I managed to save the files necessary to continue the site's ever-so-popular sprite comic, but my "genius" brother performed a manual disk clean-up which resulted in the loss of not only many beloved music videos, but the sprites, backgrounds, and other graphics I used in my sprite comic.
Was I pissed? Just a little. Only enough for me to pick up my chair and throw it across the fucking room. Because not only did it take me DAYS to download all the sprites and every single stance they can possibly take (when I had all the time in the world to do so), but the site that I downloaded them off of no longer exists.
And I haven't been keeping up with my RPGs. The newest RPG that I've played all the way through was Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The first one. I HAVE Final Fantasy XI, but haven't been playing it for a while. I own Final Fantasy X-2, but never got around to beating it. I look forward to the release date of Final Fantasy XII, but probably won't buy it until I can get it for less than $20. I don't own a Gamecube, I don't own an X-Box, and my PS2 is collecting dust (it's so bad that it won't even play DVDs anymore). I'm not looking into buying a PS3, or an X-Box 360, or a Nintendo Dolphin, Panasonic Real 3DO, Atari Jaguar II, or Aiwa Fucked Up Stereo System either.
So between my diminished interest in video gaming and loads of shit happening, don't expect this site to make its triumphant return anytime soon. But who knows? Someday I may find another website that carries the sprites and backgrounds that made my site so popular (another word I'm using lightly, as my site was never popular), and I feel the need to write comic strips involving beloved 16-bit RPG characters, I'll come back and re-open the site simply for the sprite comic. Chances are by then, you probably would not have even read this stupid letter.
So thanks again to the -2 people who read my letter. Hope to see you soon when... IF this site ever gets off the ground ever again. C'est la vie or some shit like that.
