Writing is my way to detox. Sometimes I rant, sometimes I shout-for-joy, sometimes I cry. Whether I think I've just created a masterpiece or written some crap and nonsense, it's always helpful for me to write. Basically, I write for selfish reasons, but since I've realized that the ability to be able to put down in words some generally mundane feelings and thoughts is not actually bestowed on everyone, I've been very, very grateful to God for having gifted me with such a skill. And thus, I try to bring back the glory to God whenever I triumph in a writing endeavor -- whether publicly, or personally.--lhen |
