This new set of stories occur after Lemy & Rascal have escaped Devious Duck's latest attempt to capture them.

Rascal had just spent the last two hours looking at several books on birds. He had tried his best to discover the identity of the little chicks that had just hatched, but somehow, he couldn't find the right answers.

Then just out of curiosity, he flipped some of the pages to look at birds that were around in the past but not anymore in the present day - in other words, birds that were extinct.

His eyes grew large and wide when he suddenly came across a picture that matched the little birds he had beside him. Quickly, he closed the book and rushed off to find Lemy.

"Lemy!!" called out Rascal scurrying from one room to the next.

"What's all the shouting about, Rascal?" asked Lemy curiously.

"DODO!!" said Rascal

"WHAT!! Who're you calling a Dodo??!!" responded Lemy angrily. "What did I do now??!!"

"No you, silly,,,,,them! They're Dodos" replied Rascal excitedly.

It took Lemy a few minutes to understand what his furry friend had just said, but slowly,
the whole message became very clear.

"But they've been extinct...for centuries." said Lemy at last.
.

"That may be so.... but right here before your eyes...you can't deny that these are Dodo chicks." Rascal answered. "Maybe the island where Alexander Fox lives has a lot more secrets that we think."

The pair thought about the possibility, and agreed that it was likely that some animals that were thought to have been extinct, could actually still be alive because the island had never been visited by man before.

"Afterall," said Rascal. "the only reason why the Dodos died out in the first place, was because man hunted the bird to extinction. If not for man, these birds would still be alive today."

"Hmmm...said Lemy. "This means we now have a fantastic chance to re-introduce Dodos to the world. We'll be famous...and rich!!"

Rascal looked at his friend and shook his head. The possibility of making money had begun to cloud his friend's judgement once again. But at the moment, they were too far out in space to turn back.

Just then, Ranger informed Lemy and Rascal that the other foxes had begun to take a very special interest in the Dodo birds.

They were still hungry afterall, and there were few options available to them because they hadn't had time to gather enough fresh food on the island (before Devious Duck showed up).

Lemy rushed to the room where the birds were being kept.

Lemy found Boomer (the largest fox around) holding one of the little chicks.

Obviously, he was thinking of lunch.

Lemy was able to stop him in time, and quickly gathered all the chicks safely to another area, hidden away from the other animals.

"What will we eat then?" asked some of the other foxes.

"What else...." replied Rascal. "We're going to go back to powdered eggs again..."

Everybody groaned dejectedly.
