      * General guide line for RJ45 Cabling. It depends on network engineers how s/he likes to use color combination. I follow the following color combination.

If network is implemented between more than 2 computers and a Hub is used then following combination: (both side of the cable, computer end and hub end, if you held the RJ45 clip downside then no "1" from right side)

Orange-White

If network is implemented between 2 computers without a Hub then we need cross cabling, I follow the following combination: (Computer A & Computer B)

Linux

When young chap like me first starts to use Linux in BD, they mostly face the following issues:

1. How can I keep Windows and Linux in same IDE drive?

2. Which distribution of Linux I'd use?

*I recommend Redhat Linux (Fedora Core1 with latest Linux kernel) for newbie, cause it's easy to install and easy to handle than other Linux distribution. http://fedora.redhat.com/

3. What about partition?

4. Where I can get info about basic commands and architecture?

5. How I connect with Internet through my Win-modem? Where I can get the driver for it?

*For questions 1,3,4 download the following guide and do some research before installing Linux in your PC as duel OS. http://www.tldp.org/LDP/intro-linux/html/intro-linux.html

*For question 5 visit this for your proper driver, don't forget to read the guideline.
