is published weekly for $34/yr. in Polk and Burnett counties; $38/yr.

Barron, Chisago, Washburn and St. Croix counties; $41/yr. anywhere in
the
United States; $22/yr. for servicemen or women, by the Inter-County
Cooperative
Publishing Association.
The Leader is a
qualified
newspaper for the publication of legal notices, meeting the
requirements
as set forth in Chapter 985.03 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Every
government
official or board that handles public money should publish at regular
intervals
an accounting of it, showing where and how each dollar is spent. We
hold
this to be a fundamental principle of democratic government.
