Dear Friend,

I make my living as a construction engineer, but being a rodeo cowboy has always been my dream. Through out my life I have operated just outside the dream, always keeping it within arms reach. I have ridden bareback broncs in professional and amateur events off and on for over twenty years. I chose a path with other priorities and responsibilities, but the dream has always remained.

The construction world is a lot like the rodeo circuit, with constant traveling from job site to job site. My family is based in South Carolina, but I make the "circuit" in a fifth wheel camper. I prefer to stay at ranches and riding stables than traditional campgrounds. I try to work out a "cowboy deal" for board. Ranch chores and riding colts is much more fun than just paying rent. Being around livestock and "salt of the earth" people is good for the soul and brings a person closer to God.

Art allows me a way to pass the time alone or a way to maintain friends across the miles. It allows me to give something from the heart to the people who touch me along the way. It might be a poem, a painting or a set of spur straps. There is almost always someone in mind with each piece.

I use various mediums, tooled leather, wood, paintings, and pencil sketches. What I make depends on where I am and what I have to work with. I am honored that you are interested in my art work. I hope that it provides you with as much enjoyment as it has me. If I've done well it will be a window to view the people and places that make up this wonderful world that we live in.
