| This page is dedicated to the Glory of God as reflected in the original artwork designed and created by Janet Brown. These pictures come from an appreciation of the wonder and beauty of the many "African Treasures" of God's magnificent creation. All of these pictures have been digitalized for the computer and reproduced on note cards (grouped in sets of four), which are available for purchase (see below for explanation**). ** I truly count it a joy and privilege to serve God as a missionary at African Bible College, Lilongwe, Malawi (S.E. Africa) To know more about our work, click onto our site: www.geocities.com/larrynjanet Being a missionary in today's world does not necessarily mean suffering through physical hardships. Although Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, it is a joy to be here since we are convinced we are in the center of God's will. What makes being a foreign missionary difficult, is not "doing without" the luxuries and conveniences of American life. What makes being a missionary difficult is being so far away from family loved ones. With travel being so expensive, we cannot possibly expect our faithful supporters to pay for unnecessary trips back to the states to renew family relationships, so I asked God to help me find a way to earn a few dollars which could be used for this purpose. All of the funds received from the sale of "African Treasures" items will be going into a fund designed to pay the costs of travel to see my children. |
| African Treasures got its start when one of our missionaries here at African Bible College, June Canfield, was expressing her disappointment over not finding adequate note cards for her correspondence back to the states. The six "African" designs above were the original set of note cards which started it all. |
