Vision:
The Lansing Chapter of the American Muslim Council essentially shares the ideal
of its parent organization American Muslim Council (AMC) which envisions and
works toward the full political participation of American Muslims in all
aspects of American life to the extent that the very fabric of American life is
threaded with Islamic values that are treasured and preserved by all Americans.
Mission
Lansing Chapter of the American Muslim Council is a participatory political
action group comprised of local Muslims and committed to serving our local
Muslim community through:
1.
Developing effective grassroots activist network.
2. Encouraging local and regional political
participation of American Muslims.
3. Advancing causes and issues of concern to our
Muslim community, increasing accurate and positive media portrayal of Islam and
Muslims.
4. Establishing a secure and appropriate
educational environment in the public schools for our Muslim children.
5. Establishing a dialogue with the followers of
other faiths with a view to foster
interfaith and cross –cultural understanding and tolerance
