Bob was in the Air force for four years. He worked for Schlumberger Oil Well Services for thirty years as the Division Electronics Technician for the entire Rocky Mountain Region. In the 1980's he invented many new down-hole tools that helped Schlumberger be the leader in oil-well exploration and production. He turned down a very lucrative offer to move to France to continue inventing for the company, to stay with his family in Wyoming in order to continue his hunting and fishing way of life. He was a member of the Masonic lodge in Newcastle.
Bob loved to hunt and fish with family and friends. He also liked boating and camping. In his last years he enjoyed snorkelling at the club. From very early in life Bob was an avid reader and probably read a million books over his lifetime.
In the 1990's he became a moderator of a world-wide help line on the internet for people interested in kombucha (KT), a home brewed tea ferment that has medicinal properties. KT helped his arthritis for many years and he wanted to share that with everyone he possibly could.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by two of his sisters and his brother.
