Contrary to what one review wrote, I find this story
sweet and endearing. It's the simple things about love that make it so
beautiful. Although sex and angst do spice things up a little, In Your Arms
reflects on the sweet simplicity of merely holding the love of your life in
your arms and feeling total contentment. Wonderfully written

I agree on many of your points.
I'm currently writing a SI, but I'm trying to throw some of the most horrible
things at the 'me' character. It's fun being mean to the characters of your
stories because they can't do a thing about it except try to work out the
problem.
Also, Original characters give
the story the ability to turn a completely different direction than what it
otherwise would have. I've noticed on FF.n that
there's.. nothing new. it's all been written! It's all just a rehash of everything
that's already been written and it's gotten boring to write FF7 fanfics because of that.. And
what's also sad is the quality of the writing that's being posted. but that's off subject.
Anyway my word on the entire
subject condensed into a single phrase: OC's are good
plot devices!
