On Sunday, March 19, 2000, our family of five embarked on a much anticipated
journey from Lacombe, Alberta to Orlando, Florida with a brief stopover
in Chicago (seven minutes down there, three hours back). Click on the
picture on the right to get a better idea of our trip.This is a brief diary of what we did, when we did it, with pictures to boot! Feel free to browse around here. If you are planning on going, you may learn from our experiences.
This site is broken up into the places we visited over the week. Some days we visited two theme parks in one day, other places we had to return because there was too much to do in one day.

We arrived in Orlando (Kissimmee actually) late Sunday night. Day 1 has pictures of the time share we swapped for at Westgate Towers. Nine pictures here.
We spent most of Monday, March 20, 2000 in Epcot. Part of the day was spent in Downtown Disney (see below). There are 17 pictures here.
After an all day trip through Epcot, we caught a bus and headed over to 'Downtown Disney' to do some shopping and Lego playing. Great fun, but it overloaded our day. Only five pictures here.
Day Three was spent visiting Animal Kingdom, hanging out with the chimps and taking in a show or two. A very full day of fun and entertainment for everyone. Animal Kingdom could use more than one day (say another half) to do it justice, but we got a lot of memories in our one day. There are alot of pictures here (twenty six to be exact) so this page may take a while to load. Please be patient. There are THREE water parks in Disney World and each one needs a full day to enjoy completely. We picked Typhoon Lagoon to enjoy on the coldest day of our trip (they actually had RAIN! Can you imagine? RAIN! In March?). Great, great, GREAT half day. We wanted to finish Magic Kingdom this afternoon, so we spent only a half day here. Coulda spent ALOT more! Only six pictures here.
