The parade planning has begun. I am referring to Janesville's 2009 Labor*Fest Day Parade. Everyone loves a parade and we know your group is no exception. We hope you will join us and be part of this year's excitement as well as part of all future parades. This is your invitation to be a part of the parade.
The theme for this year's parade is: Born Again Americans...Labor's Rebirth! The mainstay of a parade are the floats and other units. Each year the number of units continues to grow and produce a better parade.
As always, non-sponsored floats (units that do not require funding from Labor*Fest, Inc. or other private sources) will have the opportunity to win trophies. The four judging categories are:
1) People's Choice
2) Judge's Choice
3) Committee's Choice
4) Best In Labor*Fest Theme (see above for this years theme)
Judging criteria are: originality, uniqueness, theme expression, eye catching, and first impression. Winner's will be announced at the Labor*Fest grounds at 6 o'clock on the evening of the parade.
The parade starts at 1:00 p.m. on Labor Day, September 7, 2009. We hope you have saved that date. Please follow the link and print the application form and return it as soon as possible.
