Don't buy unauthorized video tapes.

Don't buy unauthorized CDs.

Don't buy unauthorized DVDs.

Don't buy unauthorized merchandise.

It is ILLEGAL to make a profit off of Witchblade-related merchandise unless the maker have been granted a license by Warner Bros. or Top Cow.

Real Witchblade fans will NEVER charge you more than the actual cost (tapes/CDs/DVDs and postage) to make copies of tapes for you.  They will NEVER claim to make a profit or desire to.  Most fans will make copies free of charge for other fans.

How can you avoid participating in Witchblade fraud?

1. Don't ever pay more than the actual cost for Witchblade tapes, CDs or DVDs.

2. Don't get copies from someone you don't know (this includes buying from online auctions, no matter how good their feedback is).

3. NEVER pay for fan-made music videos.

4. Don't buy unauthorized merchandise.

5. Don't buy cast autographs that aren't part of a charity auction.

6. Report any instances of Witchblade-related fraud to Top Cow at fmastromauro@topcow.com and/or Warner Bros. at faces@talk.thewb.com or customerservice@wb.com.

Why should I do all this?

1. It is illegal to make a profit off of someone else's intellectual property unless you have been granted the license to use it.   By purchasing unauthorized tapes/CDs/DVDs or merchandise, you are perpetuating a culture of illegality.  And it's just wrong.

2. If you buy unauthorised merchandise (stuff that uses the Witchblade name without permission), Warner Bros. will have little to no incentive to produce authorized merchandise.  It seems counter-intuitive, but it's true.

3. If you buy cast autographs when they're not being offered at a charity auction: 1. you're missing your chance to get an autograph with the money going to a worthy cause; 2. most cast members will send you an autograph free of charge if you include a self-addressed stamped envelope when you write them a fan letter (click here for cast member addresses); 3. you can get them by showing your support and going to a Witchblade convention; and 4. are you really sure that autopgraph that you bought off that auction site is real?
