Well, well, I didn't know this thing still worked. I've noticed that the old counter has almost hit 5000 views. That's a fair few more than there was last time, and I know I haven't seen this place in over half a year.

What can I say? URW, both the site and game, really fell into the backburner here, and I can't see us (Tidus and I) updating THIS site for URW purposes any time soon. Having used a much better organised and easier to update, paid for site for articles and reviews over the past year (www.ausgn.com), I really see nothing good coming out of this Geocities thing we're doing right now. It had always been a problem, as some of you probably know all too well, but now that I've got a decent site to compare this one to it's almost unbearable. Excuse me for being dramatic, but it honestly is a pain in the arse trying to organise this site properly when this overtly benign website interface removes all sense of symmetry and proportion behind in favour of the drag-and-drop mechanics symptomatic of a system designed for HTML retarded people like me.

Hazul, bless him, removed hosting for our navigation sidebar long ago, as it had become quite obvious that we were terrible liars re: updating the site and content. I don't think either Tidus or I thanked him properly for his contributions to this site, and there were many important ones, so here it is officially: thanks for your support, Hazul. (website is hazul.net, I believe). Best of luck with your own projects in the future.

It's been a tumultuous few months for all of us. Tidus' life has been crazier than it has ever been, but perhaps he'll take the time to explain that later. As for me, I'm just doing my 'senior year' equivalent for Australia. Not to say I've been flat out doing work for a year, but I must admit that I never put great stock in this website, so it never even occured to me to update it. This has been true for both of us, and unfortunately may always be the case.

I think by now anyone still coming here has come to terms with this site's death. I appreciate that. Maybe next year, when Tidus and I are more prepared to do side projects outside of AGN I'll try to convince Mark and co. to host a redux of this URW site alongside Ausgn. To be honest, making this site had become more satisfying than playing the game itself, even if we helped no one in our efforts.

Long story short, I'm still not willing to call it quits for this site and its possible successors, but it will always be a side project that is done more for our own enjoyment. Don't expect anything overnight, in fact don't expect anything at all. Empty promises are a bitch, so I'll try to be realistic here - I'm going to try to get this site redone one way or another via Ausgn. Failing that I may just admit defeat and move on. Either way, I'm sure months from now you'll be able to read it here. Assuming anyone comes here at all anymore (I'm touched if you are). If it's just me, it's been a fun but disappointing journal over the past few years. Half written entries and scribbles wedged inbetween, with some pages ripped out entirely, sure, but fun nonetheless.

P.S. I didn't fail physics in the end.

Wow, looks like this thing is still on. Anyways, just a quick update to congratulate Sami on getting version 3 out there - the game is looking better than ever. I can't promise any new site updates anytime soon, but in the meantime Thoth has a nice new UnReal World site up at www.freewebs.com/unrealthoth/index.htm - have a look if you've got a moment. It's reaching the business end of the year for us here, but I'm chasing up the new registration program from Sami. This coupled with a long holiday means we might actually get some work done.

If any of you would like to send your preferences in, please do so to ptizzle.ausgn@gmail.com - this is the address I now use the most. Click the preferences page to see the template.

Anyways, hope everyone is well, and I'll hopefully be back soon.
