-Lyrics-
Something happens when you look at me I forget to speak. Something happens when you kiss my mouth my knees get so weak. Could it be true this is what God has meant for me, cuz baby, I can't believe that something like you could happen to me.

There's no joy in easy sailing

That is mighty sweet to take

You thought you couldn't make.

Guess what? I moved!!
If you're linking to me, please change your html. Thanks!! =)
I know some of you folks JUST started linking to me, and I'm sorry this change is so soon.... but I'm really excited to be on my own domain (or at least a shared one) rather than Geocities. Woohoo!

It's my mid-lab blogging break! I am SO sleepy. I don't know why. It's a gorgeous day outside, almost don't-need-jackets warm (but maybe not quite... haven't been out since 8:00 to know for sure). I am SORE. Wow. Aarti and I did the Cindy Crawford workout video last night, and damn. I didn't feel like I was necessarily dying while I did it, but wow. Lol. I guess that's good. It's not too hard of a workout while you're at it, but afterwards, you can sure tell what muscles it targeted. Ha ha. I can't wait to do the other one today! (Two come on a tape). I just hope I have time. I'm supposed to be taking Amie to see Peter Pan 2: Return to Neverland, and Aarti has her art class tonight, so unless I do it without her, we've got some squeezing of schedules to do. Lol.

Oh! I got my stats exam back already!! It's CRAZY because we took those yesterday from 9-11 am. There are 52 people in the class and it was an 8-page written exam, and today by 11, they were ALL graded. Amazing. The multiple choice scantron test I took on Monday won't be returned until next week. Ha ha. But guess what? I got an 89% on statistics!!! That is WAY better than I thought I'd get. Although now I'm doing counterfactual thinking (like that, Aarti? Incorporating Social Psych into everyday conversation <.g>) and saying "If only I'd studied fourth-spreads for three more minutes, I'd have had four more points and I would have gotten an A." But I can feel confident in the fact that the things I did get wrong, I honestly didn't know. I HATE it when I make stupid mistakes. So I feel better about that, whether that's goofy or not. Lol. And the one I sat and stared at for a good seven minutes trying to decide a) what it was asking, and b) how to go about it, I got right!! I used the wrong number for one part, but that's pretty good considering it was purely an educated guess on what equation I was supposed to be using. Lol

Oookay. 1:22. I'm in here until 1:45. And this guy whose interview I'm transcribing talks in hugely long paragraphs, so it feels like I'm not getting anything accomplished because I can listen forever and only get half a page typed. But it's half a page of SOLID words, whereas half the time, people switch off speaking so often that they can say four sentences and fill a page. Alright, back to work, back to work. <.sigh>

Midterms are OVER!! Well, until next week, anyway. Lol. So I'll start studying for that one tomorrow. I'm taking the afternoon OFF. I didn't fail any of them. I think I did progressively worse... ha ha. I feel pretty good about social, better than expected (but most likely not better than a B) on statistics, and just so-so on cognitive. Oh well, I'm DONE with my crazy cram-studying session I've had going for the last couple days. BIG sigh of relief. <.g>

That picture of JC in glasses (see previous post) WAS at Pleasure Island. I was right. Just didn't have anyone around to confirm that for me. Lol. I was like "Wolfgang Puck is on PI, I *think* Virgin and the AMC are right in front of JC and the girls..." Man. I want to go back. Now. I was just telling Miggie about the to-die-for cookie sandwiches we'd sell at the Cookie Cabin (in Camp Minnie-Mickey at Animal Kingdom, if anyone is interested <.g> Other AK tasty treats: frozen coffee or any of the breakfast breads from Safari Coffee by the Tree of Life, soft pretzels (sorry Carolyn) from the exit to the Bug's Life show...)

YAY! Blogger is posting! I am excited. It's been two and a half days. Lol.

So the first of the Celebrity concerts has been performed. I am SO EXCITED it's insane. I won't write what I'm excited about in case people don't want spoilers, but if you want to read, I got this from Rat Sushi. Woohoo!! Can't wait. Really can't wait.

And more giddiness (is that how you spell that?) JC in glasses. Not sure who the girls are (yes, I know they are MSM, a girl group... doesn't help), but JC's looking gooood. And C, can you tell where they are? It's in Orlando. I have a guess, but I'm not sure. Lol.

Geocities is being mean to me. It won't let Blogger FTP my posts. I HAVE been posting, I swear! They're just nicely lined up here in my "edit blog" area, waiting patiently to be let free for the world to see. Lol. I'm trying this one more time before I head off to study...

The Big Ten just is a mess of numbers that don't make sense. First off, there are eleven teams in the Big Ten. Now, four teams are Big Ten Champions: Ohio State, Minnesota, Indiana, and our Illinois. Crazy, huh? What's even crazier is that these teams are champions with 5 losses each. Lol. So today was a HUGE game, because (if I understood correctly), if Minnesota won, they would be champions alone with 12-4. But since they lost to Illinois, all four teams have 11-5 records and share the championship. Go Fighting Illini!!! Now there is the tournament to conquer...

In other news, Kristine has been working on moving me over to Movable Type. It's almost there!! Then I will have to go change all my cliques and whatnot... project! But I will let you all know the new address shortly. Woohoo!

Today was a pretty good day. Of course I did next to NO studying for my three midterms (which will be all be taken between 7:30 p.m. Monday night and 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon... they have a 3-finals-in-24-hours conflict exam rule... why doesn't that apply to midterms??), but all I had fun. =) Jess and I picked Amie up to go to the mall. Amie was on her cruise 2 weeks ago, and happened to hit New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Lucky girl!! Of course, that probably isn't as fun for an eleven-year-old as it would be for me, but she got lots of beads (72 strands) and gave me 6 of them. <.g> She's so cute. So we went to the mall and window shopped, because Amie had spent all her money on the cruise, and I had $3 to my name. Heehee. I did spend a gift certificate from Christmas at Bath and Body Works on a candle to un-stale my room. I HATE the fact that it gets all sealed up for the winter. I feel like it's stuffy and stale, even though Aarti assures me it's not. Lol. Can't I just open the windows? ("Not until it's warmer than 50 degrees." I know, I know.)

Then Jess, Meghan and I went to dinner at Cheddars and got hit on by our waiter, who sat down to chat with us for a while. Lol. He's a psych major, so maybe he's in some of my classes. I didn't share my major with him, though. Then we went to see 40 Days and 40 Nights, which was quite funny, but NOT a movie to take the 'rents to. <.g> We were planning on going to the High Dive for some dancing, but the Winter Storm has finally decided to arrive (although it's a lamb of a "storm") and slushy, icy sidewalks in clubbing clothes just don't sound appealing right now.

Then Jessica pointed me towards some surveys. Are you an IM Addict?

It's Friday!

1. What's your favorite vacation spot?
There are SO many places I haven't gone that I want to, and SO many places I have gone that I LOVE, but I think I'm going to stick with the old favorite: Walt Disney World. I honestly love it, love it, love it there.

2. Where do you consider to be the biggest hell-hole on earth?
Hmm. Have I ever gone on a truly awful vacation? I might say the Newark airport is pretty bad, but that could just be the mood we were in throughout our "stay" there (airline strikes, redirects, extra-long layovers...).

3. What would be your dream vacation?
Wow. Right now I'm all about taking a road trip to California with some friends. I think that would be a blast. (Lol, a Crossroads commercial just came on <.g>) So, let's see. If money were no object (HA!), my dream vacation: Road trip to Los Angeles, drive up the coast on Highway One, fly out of San Fran to Orlando for a couple of days at Disney (and visiting friends), couple days on the beach, maybe even in the Florida Keys, fly to New York City, do Broadway, and from there, tour Europe. All of this with friends, of course. Gosh, that would take an entire summer! And a fortune. Hmmm.

4. If you could go on a road-trip with anyone, who would it be and why?
Lol! There's that "reading ahead" thing I should do. ha ha ha. Um, well, Aarti and I have been talking about wanting to drive out to California. I'd definitely drag her along. lol. I have so many friends I think would be a blast on a road trip, but not too many of them necessarily know each other.

5. What are your plans for this weekend?
My sister is coming to visit! Woohoo! Her spring break starts today (mine's not for two weeks), so she's driving down from Michigan. I haven't really thought about what we'll do. I was considering taking her to the drag show tomorrow night. Lol. I think it would be a hoot. And there's a possibility Lance (my favorite TA ever) is bartending. So that would be fun. But we'll see if Jess wants to. That might freak her out a bit. lol. Other than that, I have three midterms on Monday and Tuesday that I really, really, really have to study for. Eeek!

Oh NO. The chin stripe claims yet another victim. I hope David shaves it before he makes his guest appearance on XF. Cuz Mulder with that chin stripe is not good.

I was looking through the E! Online Grammy pages, and I found a couple bits of interesting information.
1. Last year, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone won a Grammy. For best children's spoken word album, or something.
2. In 1999, The X-Files Theme was up for a Grammy for best pop instrumental, but did not win. "The X-Files is a show, with music by Mark Snow..."
3. Tom Chapin was up for a Grammy for This Pretty Planet, a children's album, but did not win. When I was in seventh grade, I got to sing with Tom Chapin with Palatine Children's Chorus. I will always have a soft spot for Tom Chapin. <.g>

I wonder if there is a website that lists all the winners of Grammys that you can look up by winner. Ya know? Like... "U2 has won this many Grammys in these years and in these categories." Like that. Hmmmm.
