| Hi! My name is Doodlebug, famous ferret of stage and screen. Well...okay soon to be of television. My hooman Robin wanted me to tell y'all about how it feels to be a star, and how I got to be one. My hooman got a phone call from a real nice lady name Ann, inviting me to be in a Southwest Airlines commercial. Of course mom said yes. She wasn't going to miss a chance getting my face on TV. She said we need more ferrets on TV and in movies. And that I have to behave because I was representing ferrets all over the world. Sheeesh! That's a big load for one little guy to carry. So three days later, mom put me in a carrier with a nice warm blanket, toys, and Rosie and we were off on our adventure. I heard mom say Rosie was a back up. To me she was just a pain. She fussed and grumbled all the way. Girls!! Can't live with em, can't live without them. Anyway, we got to the set and wow, were there a lot of people there. And lots of animals too. Lots of people came over just to see me. You would think they have never seen a ferret before. They all commented on how cute I was, and how well behaved. I could tell mom was real proud of me. I met lots of new friends, cats, turtles, bunnies, birds, bugs, (ugh) and lots of dogs. My favorite dog was a Great Dane named Jake. He was cool. The commercial was about a neighborhood where everyone was going on vacation because Southwest Airlines rates were so low. All the neighbors took their pets to this one neighbor to pet sit. So they did shots from outside the door looking in. From inside the door looking out. And all of us together in the house. We worked ten hours, and I was really tired. But it was worth it. I asked mom when the commercial would be out, she didn't know. So keep an eye out for me. I hope I get to be in more commercials. Maybe someday I will get my own star on Sunset Blvd. Dook, Dook Doodlebug |
