I enjoy the process of detailed work in creating yarns or threads from the original state of natural fibers including cottons, wools, alpacas, rabbits, or even dog's hair. This process involves many different steps - washing, dying, spinning, and then weaving before the completion of the project. This process requires a great deal of patience, yes, and a detailed work which is much needed for detailed quality assurance engineering processes, programming, etc.
