| Stef Stokes is a teenage singer from Liverpool England. she has been singing and performing all her life, playing piano since the age of 5 and also plays guitar. her influences are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvara, Sheryl Crow, Everclear, and Blink 182. she could go on because through out her life music has been central to her family and she can appreciate all kinds of genres.
The biggest influence in her life has got to be her sister Jenni, she is presently studying for a degree in Performing Arts at Liverpool Hope University. Jenni introduced her to Alanis Morrisette, Fiona Apple and Tori Amos. It was Christmas 2003, just past her 15 birthday when things began to take off. She had just recorded a demo and caught the attention of an agent called Lyn Staunton and she became a guest artist on her radio show. As a result of that she became record of the week and a succession of live appearances took place. she was introduced to a songwriter called Davy Edge and he wrote and produced a song called ‘Still Here’ which reached number 1 on Aiiradio. "It was through Aiiradio that I was fortunate to be contacted by Aarion Lee from Koalition. I felt really honoured that he approached me and at present I am working on vocals for a couple of their tracks. This is a really exciting opportunity for me because I am singing the music I love and I cannot wait to hear the end results. The future, well what I would love would be to have my own band and to do what I love, sing. I have been fortunate to meet so many genuine musicians and hope that continues."
