The Writings of Simone Maxwell
In the summer of 1999, a friend invited me to write a column about Japanese animation for a local free monthly humor
newspaper.
The paper is currently on hiatus, but I've kept writing stuff, and I keep
coming up with ideas. Another friend talked me into doing this webpage, and here I am.
This will be eclectic, if nothing else. What you'll find here will be observations about
Japanese and American pop culture, weird-but-true stories from my childhood,
and other strange meanderings. Some will be irreverent, some will be more serious.
With a lot of luck, you may find at least one of them of interest:

I owe so many people so much credit that I
can never fully express it properly, but here's a small list:
* My eternal thanks to Kagenami Q, for the constant encouragment, the help
with the website, the superb editing, and for not laughing at me, except when I'm
being a pompous ass and sorely need it.
* To my overwhelmingly multi-talented friend Tracy: You rock hard, dude!
Keep the faith, keep writing down your dreams, and never let 'em see you sweat. Click

* To Warlord Zorak: I'm sorry, I shouldn't have taken off my pants.
* To the nice people at Dalmatian Alley: You guys always know how to make
me look fabulous! Click here to visit Dalmatian Alley!
* Thanks always to the one-and-only Bobagirl for setting me straight
about urban legends, and for having the world's greatest anime-doll-collecting site.

* Thanks also to Mr. Bear's Psychiatrist--keep circulating the tapes!
