My love for American Cocker Spaniels started 15 years ago when my dad gave me a buff puppy for Christmas. She accompanied me everywhere even to California as I pursued my college degree. She travelled with me during school breaks from soggy Seattle, to the icy tips of Heavenly Resort, Lake Tahoe, to the hot desserts of Southern California. It was during those trips that I was smitten with the "dog show bug" when we chance upon a local dog show in Wine county, Napa Valley. As soon as I saw the gorgeous greats of Cockerdom in the ring, I knew this was the breed for me and that that was what I wanted to do forever. From my first two dogs AM CH JEM'S PLATINUM GOLD and AM CH SARAH N KEMAR'S GIV'EM LIL HARRY, to my last (so far) BEST IN SHOW WINNING GRAND CH KING PHILIP'S PARLOUR MADE, BEST IN SHOW PH CH BLAK TIE AFFAIR, and BEST IN SHOW PH CH KING PHILIP'S LUCRECIA BORGA, I have to say that we've come a long way now. King Philip Kennels takes pride not only for the numerous CHAMPIONS, GRAND CHAMPIONS, HALL OF FAME, and BEST IN SHOW WINNERS that we have produced but also for being one of the few conscientious breeders here in the Philippines who annually checks our dogs for genetic problems. KING PHILIP KENNELS is the culmination of the blue blooded royal family of Cockerdom here in the Philippines. |
