COMING SOON -- Sweet, well socialized baby male rats born July 16th. Cinnamon berks and black berks! Located in the boston area....
2 Pampered Rats -->

Two Malden, MA rats, Leo and Bud are looking for a new home because their owner's wife doesn't like them. They have been well cared for with a Martin's Rat Retreat cage and plenty of care and attention. They got a vet check a month and a half ago and were both in good health. Leo and Bud are both beautiful male black hooded rats (with awesome hoods!)
MICE! -->
AT LEAST 5 MICE NEED TO BE PLACED OR FOSTERED IN THE NEXT 5 DAYS OR THE OWNER WILL BE TAKING THEM TO THE PET STORE.
11 boy mice need homes (some born May 27, 6 born June 13) because of accidental litters. 2 black, 3 medium gray, 1 dark gray, 1 silverish gray, 1 tan, and 3 white.
According to the owner, none are sick, but a few were beat up by their
brothers and taken to the vet. 2 boys in ten gallon tank, 1 in small cage, 1 in 5 gallon tank, 7 in large wired rat cage with fencing covering gaps. Willing to send housing, bedding, toys, etc... with mice as well as future food and bedding.
Please contact us ASAP if you can foster or adopt at least a couple of these cuties!
Sweet, Well Bred Rats -->
9 rats (5 neutered males and 4 females) They have a regular vet in Franklin, MA. Owner willing to deliver them to a good home within a 2-3 hour drive from Milfrod MA and is willing to work out a further drive.
Very sweet and the owner raised most of them since the day they were born. They are moving and will not be able to have them at their new place. They might be able to sneak some in but it would only be 2 or 3 of them in a smaller cage,
and they could get kicked out for having them. They are mostly litter box trained (the boys are better than the girls) and they understand words like "no" and "come here" and "treats". The boys know their names but most of the time they just look at you and run the other way, like it's a game.

Just as lovely and petite, these girls are cute, expressive, food hounds, obsessive about their wheels, love the hammock, and will stash with the best of them! Great with new rats, these girls have share their homes with the best of them! Lexus was born 1/03, and her baby girl was born 3/03. These two must go together. They are lovely lady rats, need some time and work, but with a little investment you will get TONS back.

More MSPCA Brothers -->
Male albino brothers, born approx 1/03 - from the MSPCA. One of these boys is neutered. The neutered boy does not need to stay with the litter, but it would be nice if the group was in some pairing. These boys love each other, love their wheel, and love food - they are still learning that humans are good! Their brothers who were taken into homes and underwent intense socialization are already amazing pets (NJartrat has one and loves him, Atombessy has another!) -- these guys have POTENTIAL and are just waiting for the perfect home to take them in! They are BEAUTIFUL and are fed the best diet available - harlan, and housed in Martins cages, on aspen and carefresh..
The following rats are not our rats but are in desperate need of immediate help. Please contact the listed e-mail contacts if you can adopt or foster a rat in need!
Two rats need a foster home during the school year. The owner of 2 male rats is having trouble with her school year housing and the father of the household is threatening to send her 2 rats and her friend's 2 rats (who normally live in the house with no problem) to a kill shelter. She is trying to find someone near Pittsburgh, PA or near Meadville (close to Erie), PA, where she is at school, to "rat sit" for her two rats during the school year. She doesn't want to turn them over for adoption. Just looking for someone to care for them until she can care for them herself again. The dates would be ASAP until December 17/18 (depending on when she's done with finals), and then January 13 (14th if the person is in the Meadville area) until May 5.
She will pay for all their food and bedding and everything, and could
probably pay the person a monthly fee for the work involved in taking care
of them.
If you can help, please contact Cassie at narkevc@allegheny.edu

Tan hooded and berkshires, all sweet and VERY well socialized, give kisses, sit on your shoulders. The girls are all believed to be ruby eyed. These guys were socialized from birth. The girls are content to sit on your shoulder! There are 3 girls available - approx. 6 weeks old.
Older Boys -->
Bob: From a group home and was given up since they weren't allowed pets. Bob was well handled. There were a couple raisins but he is the model lap rat (bruxing and all!) Great temperment. Enjoys being flipped and getting scritches. Currently living by himself.
Francis: Came from a woman who took him from someone else who had him in "poor conditions". Although he wasn't keen on handling with hands, he liked the whole shoulder chest aspect. Not one raisin from this man. Currently living by himself.
There are also two mice for adoption.
The Animal Rescue League in Boston, as well as many animal shelters around the New England / Mid-Atlantic area have rats for adoption as well. Check on Petfinder or call your local shelter for more information.
There are many other rats (and a bunny too!) that need homes all over the New England and Mid-Atlantic areas. LOTS of loveable and friendly babies! Plus some dumbos, rexes and blazes! Most of the contacts offer to transport.
