Ed and I were married nearly 47 years.  We met while he was stationed with the U.S. Army in Heidelberg, Germany, which is my hometown.  We have two grown children, six grandchildren, and now two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Ed had been keeping tropical fish since 1955, and Killifish since 1965; his love of fish and animals in general culminated in his establishing a petshop for several years, Rockford Aquarium, and thereafter breeding Killifish in our basement.

Sadly, Ed passed away in July 1999, of emphesema and lung cancer.  It is my desire to carry on where Ed left off, breeding beautiful fish and sharing them throughout the United States.

Another Generation of Fish Breeder??
Great-grand-daughter Samara insists on "going to work" in Oma's basement whenever she can; she rehangs Oma's fishnets and --- picks fish eggs!  She finds them and knows where they go (in the petrie dishes)... and Samara just turned two years old in September!
