This Kiev-88 site is about using the K88
Soviet/Ukrainian camera. I bought a K-88 after using a K-60
and a Pentacon-6 for a couple of years and finding them to be useful
cameras. I did lots of research (and
ignored most of it that recommended not to buy one! <G>)
and
hope I got one that is going to work for a while. I'm going to try to
document info relative to K-88's and not duplicate the info that is on
my K-60 site. These are =much= more complex compared to the
K60 and as such some care is needed in buying, using and servicing
them. While these come across as a beginner camera, I'd only recommend
these only to someone who has used other medium format cameras. Also
I'd
suggest they have some skills tinkering with delicate
mechanical devices and enjoy doing that kinda stuff. These are not for
the timid! Not trying to scare people away, just want people to
have realistic expectations of what these really are about.
