About Me
Hi....You are welcome at my Home Page. I am Ravindra Khaiwal from India, Presently working as a  researcher in  Micro and Trace Analysis Center, Department of Chemistry, University of Antwerp, Belgium.

Before coming to Belgium I was working as a research scholar in the
Department of Civil  Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT,D) for my doctorate. Although I successfully completed the course work and also passed the comprehensive exam in October 2001, but I decided to left IIT,D to join University of Antwerp.

Regarding my background, I have completed
Master of Technology (M. Tech.) in 'Environmental Science and Engineering' in 2000 and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in 'Environmental Sciences' in 1998 from GJU, Hisar. During my M.Tech. and M.Sc., I worked on major projects titled 'Assessment of ambient air quality during various seasons in different districts of Haryana' and 'Water quality of river Yamuna during different seasons' respectively. These projects were a part of first 'Air and Water Quality Status Report' of Haryana State.

I have qualified 
National Eligibility Test (NET) for the eligibility of Assistant Professor /Lecturer conducted indipendently by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi and Agriculture Scientist Recruitment Board, (ASRB), ICAR, New Delhi. The eligibility of these certificate is permanent. I have also been awarded for 'Research Fellowship' for my doctoral thesis by UGC on the basis of NET merit.

Presently I am availing
Dehousse scholarship provided by University of Antwerp. I have been awarded Belgian Government Fellowship in subject of 'Environmental Science' for  2001-2002 through Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Government of India, New Delhi. During my M.Tech., I was awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) to complete the research project. I was also awarded for Director general N.C.C. Scholarship during my bachelor studies.

During my studies I have undergone
advance training on sophisticated instruments in various national and international labs. I am also actively involved in research and have published 20 research papers and reviews in refereed international journals and also contributed to various general interest articles in magazines and newspapers. I have also participated in several international conferences, symposiums and seminars. Further I am also associated with international projects and have also prepared or helped in preparation of many scientific reports.

I have a keen
interest in teaching and conducting courses. I like to work on topic related to Environmental pollutants, their concentration, trends and health risk assessment; Elaboration of analytical methods for various environmental pollutants and Global climate change.

Cricket is my favorite game, although I also like to participate in other sports and Co-curricular activities. I also worked as '
Group Leader' during 'Environmental Awareness Campaigns' by my university. I always enjoy working in a team.
