Born March 24, 1960 in New York, New York (you do the math) one would never
know from the accent she sports. The accent however is not a put upon effort
as her parents (her father being French Canadian and her Mother Irish)
relocated to London, England when Kelly was very young. As she grew up she
found herself with a career by the time she was sixteen as a model. She
appeared on magazine covers, and countless photo shoots becoming one of
Eileen Ford's top models. She also landed a gig as the Pantene spokesperson.
Perhaps you remember the phrase 'Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.'
That was Kelly LeBrock. Now like most models, she begins her foray into the
film world and made a stunning debut that rivals most Marilyn Monroe moments
in The Woman In Red (as you can see from the picture I included here from
the poster). Although her career never matched the debut film she found
steady work appearing in movies like Weird Science opposite Anthony Michael
Hall, Bill Paxton and Robert Downey Jr. as well as lending her voice to an
animated version of the English classic David Copperfield. But it would be
Hard To Kill that would prove to be a tough step for Kelly. It was there she
met, and eventually married famed action-man Steven Seagal. She had been
married once before to Victor Drai but with Seagal she would have three
children, Annaliza, Dominick, and Arrisa, effectively putting her acting
career on hold. However, in 1996 the two divorced and LeBrock began appearing
a bit more, taking part in the feature film Wrongfully Accused opposite
Leslie Nielsen and playing the siren role to the hilt in it. |
