The capacity to learn is a gift. The ability to learn is a skill. The willingness to learn is a choice.

Unfortunately, the Japan International Friendship Circle (JIFC) is no longer active. However, please feel free to look through these pages to learn more about what it was and what it did during its short life, and also to learn more about the JIFC's parent organization, The Minsai Center. If you have any questions about the former JIFC, please contact Kelly Batstone, founder: kelly_batstone@yahoo.ca. Thank you for stopping by!
The Japan International Friendship Center (JIFC) is a non-profit donor group of the Minsai Center, a non-governmental organization based in Tokyo, Japan. Like the Minsai Center, we work to provide educational scholarships for financially disadvantaged children living in rural Thailand and Laos. The JIFC motto is displayed in maroon in the cream-coloured box on the left. Our motto significes our committment to provide children in Thailand and Laos with the financial ability to allow them to develop their natural capacity to learn and their willingness to do so.
The links at the top of the page allow you to navigate throughout our website. Within the site, each page also has a set of links displayed to the left; these links allow you to explore the contents of that page. Links to the left also highlight new information available on the page, such as the Eikaiwa Challenge, our first major fundraiser, and information about our other current projects. Please enjoy your visit to the JIFC!
