Looking for a speaker
Hello, I am on the steering committee of the New York City Chapter of
Tikkun Community. I visited Israel last Summer as part of the Tikkun
delegation. I am hoping to set up a speaker on the topic of how to achieve
a real peace between Israelis and Palestinians. I would also be interested
in reporting of the situation re: the Separation wall, house demolitions,
checkpoints, water, Red Cross/Crescent. I am looking for a perspective
that does not just criticize Israel but looks at the larger picture of the
suffering of all of the people in the Holy Land, both Israelis and
Palestinians as a result of the situation and can discuss a way to
compassionately address this. I am open to other relevant topics as well.
I am looking for a speaker for a large general meeting with people
familiar with the Israeli/ Palestinian problem as well as those new to
seeing it as not just a problem of Palestinian actions against Israelis.

Looking for a speaker
A group of activists associated with Global Exchange (based in San Francisco) would be interested to have a speaker willing to give a presentation (approx 1.5 hrs) on prospects for Israeli-Palestinian peace.
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (southern Ventura County - just north of Los Angeles county).
If you are aware of anyone interested, please have them email to the address below. Ideally the speaker would have a BRIEF outline that we could review and discuss.
Date is flexible, Thursdays are the normal evenings for the presentations, and it is probably good to have at least three weeks advance commitment so publicity for the event can bear fruit.
