St. Patrick's Camogie Club, Keady is a club associated with a long record of achievements and triumphs dating back as far as the 1920's. Keady is a club with very strong roots in the local community and many families in the area are directly connected to the club and its aspirations.
For Keady, being Armagh Senior Champions 2004 and having previously reached the top of the Senior ladder, as the Senior Ulster Champions 2001 and 2002, it took several years to make that all important break-through, and therefore they intend to be around for some time to come.
The club certainly has the talent coming through which should enable it to be a continuous strong force in the future. The success of the Senior team as the Armagh Champions and previous Ulster Champions, is a source of inspiration to many of the young players in the club who, no doubt, look to the day they too will wear the maroon and gold jersey of the Senior side.

2004 Success is Huge for Keady
Centenary Year celebrations

2004 was a massively successful year for St. Patrick's Camogie Club, Keady, with the club winning nearly all trophies available within County Armagh. The Primary, Post Primary, U'14 and U'16 teams all lifted both championship and league titles, and the inspirational Senior team is once again county champions. This long list of awards is a tremendous achievement for the club, and combined with the centenary year celebrations, it is a year that will be remembered in years to come.

2004 included the celebrations of 100 years of camogie success. To commemorate this occasion, our club took a large group of our underage players to Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, where we have links with the local Rapparees Camogie Club. A great time was had by adults and children alike, helping to ensure that the great sport of camogie is continuously promoted on both sides of the border.
