*New Basic CG'ing*

There are minor.. ahem, MAJOR things I want you to keep in mind. They are more like tips. PLEASE remember this!!

  1. You HAVE to save often! If not, you might lose what you worked hard for if your computer froze or something.

  2. When you save, be aware of what format you are saving it in. .jpg is normal picture format, but the standard is in .PXA-which is the ONLY format that you can continue to edit your pictures in!

  3. If you ever need to erase, use the color WHITE and not the ERASER in the tools because it erases all color information, thus leaving it as if a mask had covered it.

  4. Whenever I speak of SEED-FILLING, there is a DESELECT option right next to it-it has a box with a red X on it. That is to make the screen normal again.

  5. At the bottom left of the picture screen (not the tools panel), there is a zoom option that you can use to zoom in the picture.

  6. There is a blurring option that you can use on the pictures if you do not want a hard edge when you shine/shadow the picture.

  7. If you have an object and you put dark shadows on one side, and light shines on the opposite end, it would give the picture a more 3D look.

  8. You do not have to do the pictures on just the layers that I instruct. You can also add layers for each feature you do to lessen the chances of messing up, but remember, do it only if you have enough disk space.

  9. Rename the layers as you please!!!

  10. Last but not least, IGNORE my weird vocabulary, but heed my instructions!!!

You are now ready to go!!!
