This years reunion will be held at the Greg and Lori Kautzky Family "Century Farm."

Dennis Loghry

 March 27, 1948 – June 9, 2004

With great remorse and heavy hearts, we report that the creator of the Kautzky Kronikles passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly on June 9, 2004, at his home.  When he didn’t show up for work at the hospital, he was found at his computer.  He was in the midst of composing a web story on the life of Paul Kautzky.

We will dearly miss Dennis, a very caring, congenial, and well-liked individual who was always helping others.  Twelve of us relatives traveled to visit the Kautzky homestead in the Czech Republic in September of 2001.  The September 11 terrorist strikes were at this time.  Dennis was instrumental in securing information as to our safety and in getting in touch with our loved ones at home.

We will deeply miss him.  Our sympathies are extended to family, and especially to Barbara, his wife, and James, his son.

- Cecilia Gaudineer

If you met Dennis Loghry once you felt like you’d known him all your life.  He lived his life being kind, helpful and respectful to everyone fortunate enough to touch his life.

My fondest memories of Dennis stem from our trip to the Czech Republic in September 2001 with Dennis, Barb, Bill and Marie Vranich, Rita Reves, Stephen Reves, Jary and Cecilia Gaudineer, Phyllis and Carvel Naeve, Orv and I.  When we learned of the attack on the twin towers in New York City, it was Dennis who made the calls that reassured us all that we were safe and to continue our planned trip.

Most recently I’d been working with Dennis on submitting my thoughts about my father, Paul Kautzky, to be added to our Kautzky web site.  He was most helpful and we emailed each other in the morning of June 9, 2004 with Dennis’ last message coming at 9:35 a.m.

I truly appreciate and treasure Dennis’ friendship.
