formed in 2001 by Director Katrin Bowen. We seek to make powerful, provocative films. Films range from documentaries about Mennonites and rap to visual poetic short films.
Katrin just finished directing the Music Video "Financially Strapped" for the band "Kat with Trike" The film "Edna Brown" which received a grant from the B.C. Arts Council screened at the sistahood festival.
"Sandcastle" which she directed for the Crazy 8's film festival screened at the Montreal World Film Festival and won the CITY TV diversity award.
Off Course has been optioned by Keatley films and we're currently looking for a European co-producer.
She is gearing up to direct the sexy hilarious "Love Bites" this summer with Fast Productions.
Katrin is honoured to be the 2009 Women in the Director's Chair (WIDC) Feature Film Award winner. The award, valued at $100,000, will support the completion of BowenÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs sexy fast-paced comedy feature film Love Bites (full copy of the WIDC press release).

"Linden", a one-hour documentary, focuses on one of the most isolated and religious groups in the world: The Holdeman Mennonites.
"Almost Forgot My Bones" directed by Katrin depicts the transformation of an African-Canadian womanÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs identity. This evocative and lyrical videopoem screened in the Canadian shorts program at the 2004 Toronto International Film Festival and is the Winner of the Audience Choice award 2004 Vancouver Videopoetry festival and the best international film award at the Chroma International Film Festival in Mexico.
"Someone" won the audience choice award and Katrin Bowen was honored to receive the Vision Award for best director at last yearÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs Vancouver Videopoetry festival.
In 2005 Katrin co-directed the hockey movie "Boxing Day Classic" with Kirby Morrow which won the best adventure script at the 2005 Whistler Film Festival.
Katrin is an alumna of the prestigious Women in the Directors Chair at the Banff Centre.
