| If you are looking to escape the fast pace of daily life and take a break you are looking at the right place. Our 50 year old cabin is located in the Pisgah National Forest in the mountains of Western North Carolina. When you drive up the dirt road to Mortimer, NC you actually go back in time to the 1950s to a much slower pace and peaceful getaway. Forest roads, dirt roads and hiking trails surround us. If you like to fish, Wilsons Creek is regularly stocked with mountain trout and is only 1 mile away and is easily assessable along the road. If you want to venture out we are only 14 miles from Blowing Rock, Boone, Grandfather Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway. There you will find the mall, specialty shops, great attractions and many excellent local restaurants | |||||||||||||||||||||

| We only have the one cabin and it gets lots of decorative attention. The cabin has beautifully finished wood floors. The cabin has two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. There is a full kitchen equipped with a gas range, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. All bed and bath linens are furnished as well as all kitchen utensils. There is also a large deck with a grill. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Once we receive your reservations and deposit we will send you detailed directions on how to get here and a list of items you may want to bring with you. Upon your arrival you will receive a map of the area so you can explore all the places you want without getting lost. | |||||||||||||||||||||
